Our 3 Tips On Candle Care
When lighting your candle for the first time, allow it to form a full melt pool.
This is when the top of the candle has completely melted, edge to edge. By doing this, you avoid an uneven burn of the candle, also known as tunnelling.
Always trim the wick!
Before relighting your candle, it is important to trim the wick at least ¼” so you get a cleaner, brighter burn with a controlled flame and less smoke. We like to use wick trimmers to make it easier but you can use regular scissors.

When you put your candle out, use a candle snuffer.
It is safer than blowing them out, as that can send sparks and hot wax being blown onto surrounding surfaces. Or the wick may continue to glow and emit smoke.
Make sure the candle is extinguished before leaving the room.
